Luxury Vinyl Flooring

Why should I consider luxury vinyl flooring?

The real question should be, "Why wouldn't I choose it," because this prestigious--and affordable-- product has so much style and function; we see it in homes where once nothing but genuine wood, stone, and tile would even be considered.

Stylish savings

You'd be hard-pressed to find something that offers more value for your decorating dollar. True-to-life photos of wood, stone, and tile are taken digitally and have micro beveling and embossing for depth, dimension, and (trending) textured looks such as wire-brushed, hand scraped, weathered, and distressed.

The material can be cut into planks as an additional design option to mimic hardwood boards, called luxury vinyl plank, or groutable squares for echo stone and tile called a luxury vinyl tile.  Many find the extra seams in both LVP (plank) and LVT (squares) add even more to the realism; some take it even further by using grout, now considered a design tool, available in many colors.

Extreme durability

This 100% waterproof material is made of entirely waterproof materials, in this case, vinyl, and the vinyl composites core. It can either be submerged, as in an appliance flood or spilled on.

This material is also multi-layered, and that, in itself, adds firmness. At the top, however, is a wear layer, a robust and clear melamine coating that protects the floor from scratches, scuffs, and dents.

Who has time to scrub floors these days?

With these floors, you don’t need to!  All it takes is a regular (daily, if possible) sweeping and a periodic mopping. Be sure to use a manufacturer-approved cleaner and avoid waxy, shine-promoting ones, as they can damage the coating and dull the floor.

Easy installation

This is especially so when the floor floats. Here, pieces click together, mat, and then hover over a clean, dry, and level subfloor without nails or glue.
